But while there is much to look forward to when it comes to the new and exciting opportunities provided by using AI and VR in education, this is not in itself enough to guarantee that it will be done well. Educational practitioners must be trained in how to use these technologies
effectively, how to avoid the pitfalls that could undermine good teaching practice, how to counter any potentially unconscious or implicit biases that might creep into or be colluded by AI-driven algorithms, and how to solve problems and design new ways to use these services, tools and tools.

And with any new technologies, we must ensure that any new form of educational practice does not exacerbate existing educational inequalities in access to those very technologies.

But there’s no denying the possibilities these technologies hold – ones that could make learning more personalized, dynamic, and effective for all students. So, where do we go from here? If we’re smart and inventive about it, AI and VR could unlock a future that finally delivers what good education has always promised, placing it within reach of all learners.
